Volunteer Projects Available at the K-House

As ongoing activities and projects are necessary for the maintenance and operation of the K-House building, we encourage office space renters and building users to volunteer for such an activity or project.  On an individual case basis, such a project may be negotiated in lieu of a monetary donation.

This is a partial list of projects available and will be updated periodically.

  • Keep drains on 3rd floor roof open and sweep water into them, especially after snow or rain; or falling leaves or needles
  • Wash windows in the spring
  • Wash windows in the fall
  • Keep front and side lawn weeded and grass trimmed during summer months
  • Water flowers and lawn during summer months
  • Clean out flower beds in the fall
  • Clean out flower beds and yard in early spring
  • Touch up paint in K-House (could be walls, doors and window frames, stairwells) -- You would need to check with Director or Office Manager to see what supplies are available and purchase what is needed before beginning.
  • Plaster repair in ceilings and/or walls
  • Change light bulbs on certain floors of building as needed
  • Perform a thorough fall cleaning
  • Perform a thorough spring cleaning
  • Clean carpets, rugs, or floors
