Kitchen Policy

1.                  Please leave the kitchen as you found it (or better than you found it).

 

2.                  FOOD AND DRINK: Please supply your own food items (including coffee, tea, juice, etc.) Coffee pots are available to you. Please supply your own paper plates, napkins, silverware, disposable cups, etc. 

 

3.                  CLEAN DISHES: If you need to use any kitchen items, please run the dishwasher, dry AND put dishes and silverware back before you leave. Dish soap is available on the window ledge above the sink. Dishtowels and dishclothes are available in the drawer to the left of the sink. When done using please hang on drain rack to dry.

 

4.                  LEFTOVER FOOD: Two fridges are available for you to use. Please be aware that some K-House supplies are stored in them. When you leave be sure to take you food with you or label it with date and a note to Aplease use@.   Please take your serving dishes with you when you leave; tupperware containers may be found in cupboard under the coffee maker if you want to leave the food for the K-House.

 

5.                  APPLIANCES: If you have used the oven, stove top, or microwave for cooking, please be sure all appliances are turned off and any spills wiped clean. Pine Sol spray is available under the sink for cleaning and disinfecting.

 

6.                  CLEAN & DISINFECT all clean countertops and tables thoroughly. Use a solution of 1 teaspoon of bleach (find under the sink) to 1 gallon of water and wipe the countertops and other surfaces used and let them air dry (do not wipe dry).

 

7.                  RECYCLE: If you have any packaging or cans that can be recycled in Pullman, you may deposit in appropriate container in the corner of the kitchen where recyclables are kept, or take the recycling with you.

 

8.                  PACK IT IN; PACK IT OUT! Please take any garbage to the dumpster in the parking lot to the north of the building.

 

9.                  FLOORS: Sweep floors in kitchen/dining room and wipe up any food spills that may have occurred. A broom and dust pan are available in the hall closet immediately to your left outside the single door in the kitchen. Other cleaning supplies and mops are available in that closet for you to use wisely.
